OCD and Sexual Functioning

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This panel will feature experts who will discuss different aspects of sexual functioning and intimacy with regards to OCD symptom presentation and treatment. The discussion will bring sex and intimacy to the forefront of the conversation, as these issues are frequently overlooked both by individuals seeking treatment and providers giving care. Topics will include how OCD can affect an individual's or couple's sex life; why it is important for individuals and providers to consider sexual functioning as part of treatment; how OCD can impair intimacy; how medication for OCD can impair sexual functioning and relationship quality; and how to begin and maintain conversations about sex and intimacy during treatment. Ample time will be allotted for questions.
