OCD in the Family: Becoming More Supportive Parents and Siblings

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

OCD affects more than just the individual in whom it resides; it also affects the family of that individual. Josh Steinberg, was diagnosed with severe OCD in 2012 – his sister Emily was largely involved in, and impacted by, his treatment. Emily and Josh will demonstrate 5 concepts to help parents and siblings support loved ones with OCD. Viewers will hear about the relationship between one individual with OCD and his family, directly from that teenager, as well as through his sister's eyes. Presenters will introduce clips of beloved pop-culture characters to highlight the impact of OCD on a child and their family, while illustrating the changing dynamics in the family unit throughout the course of treatment.
