Looking for Enough: A Support Group for the Family and Friends of Those Who Hoard

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Hoarding has a ripple effect, extending far beyond the person who hoards to impact the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those close to them. Often, loved ones struggle with conflicting desires ranging from walking away entirely to "if you can't beat them, join them".  Shame, loss, anger, fear, and frustration are just a few of the emotions that family and friends may feel; however, there are few opportunities to talk with others who can truly relate. "Looking for Enough" provides a safe place to explore the intense feelings and experiences that go along with caring about someone who hoards. Facilitated by a mental health therapist who works with people who hoard and their families, participants will be encouraged to focus on their own experience with their loved one's hoarding and how they can keep from losing themselves among the stuff.
