David Yood, PsyD

Dr. Yood received his doctorate from the University of Denver and completed his predoctoral internship at Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship and works at Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington (BTC). Dr. Yood's areas of clinical interest include Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety and other related anxiety disorders. He has specialized training and experience in the use of exposure therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). Additionally, he completed the Trichotillomania Learning Center's Behavioral Training Institute and has experience treating Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors. Dr. Yood has also worked extensively with parents and children with various behavioral struggles, including anxiety and oppositional outbursts. He co-leads the parenting group of BTC's Disruptive Behavior Management Program, designed for children and adolescents with OCD and/or tics who also display externalizing behavioral difficulties.
