Emmit, in retrospect, has shown signs of OCD from a very young age, but it was only recognized as OCD around the age of 15. At 16 he entered the Alexian Brothers program in Chicago for 4 weeks and is now doing well and seeing a therapist monthly. Emmit is currently a high school student and is able to now focus on school and is part of his school's swimming team. After attending the Boston conference, Emmit is hoping to get more involved in the OCD community including speaking at this year's conference.
